According to the handout, when the early Christians came to Rome, Rome combined their pagan religion and Christianity to make the roman Catholic. They combined there religion because of the attractive character Jesus himself and the fact that they welcome women and slaves, also because of Christianity's appealing ethical system of love, forgiveness, and service to others even the emperor Constantine himself converted into a christian. There was also number of conversions to christianity during that time.
In the Fourth-century it was the time when Arianism was the most powerful Christian heresy.Arianism is very similar to Christianity, it still teaches Christ's teaching but denies about his "Full divinity"(meaning Jesus and god are not one). By the end of the fourth century christianity won the empire but the old heresies still lived on and more new one have arisen.Arianism still lingered because there were people who were converted by Arian missionaries sometime in the middle of the fourth century.
And that is all for now
